Photography Deposits

Three wedding photography package deposits to suit all budgets

  • Option 1 – Pay a $500 deposit with 3 equal payments split between the day of your deposit and your wedding date.
  • Option 2 – Pay a $1,500 deposit with the final payment due 1 month before our wedding date.
  • Option 3 – Pay 100% of your total wedding photography package and receive 10% discount.

* Option 3 is not valid with any other discounts e.g. current special or off peak packages.

Why pay a deposit?

A deposit is required to hold the date. I can only personally photograph one wedding per day, which is why I have to book the entire day out for a photography session. Most clients book my service a year in advance to ensure my availability. When I first started, I didn’t charge a deposit to hold the date. This was until I started to make a loss on it. After booking one wedding, I turned down three weddings for the same date, letting them know that I was booked. Unfortunately, the bride and groom I originally booked cancelled because of unfortunate circumstances. This meant I lost money as well as potential clients. These days, I receive an average of five enquiries a week for dates that I already have booked out. The deposit allows me to protect your booking, as well as myself.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, couples cancel weddings from time to time. For weddings cancelled more then 6 months before your wedding date, 50% will be re-funded of any payments paid, less admin fee. For weddings cancelled  0 to 6 months before your wedding date, no refund will be given of any payments paid. If I am able to re-book your wedding date, I am more than happy to refund 100% of all your money paid, less admin fee. You will be charged for any costs already incurred eg Engagement photos, printing & admin.

This is my full time job and not a hobby. Therefore, I have a lot of expenses that I incur before the actual wedding date.

In the case I cannot photograph your wedding, you are entitled to a full 100% refund. I will also do my best to find you another top quality photographer as my replacement. You can then use the money to pay them for a similar package they offer.

I am completely open and honest with everybody, which is why I don’t hide the terms and conditions at the bottom of the page.*Terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.

Now that I have paid, what happens next?

Step 1:
Once you have paid your deposit and it has cleared into my account, I will contact you to confirm that your chosen date is now booked. I will send you a receipt invoice confirming all the details I have so far for your wedding e.g. date, times, locations and your chosen wedding package.*All the details do not have to be confirmed by this time, as we can get them closer to your wedding date.

Step 2:
As we get closer to your wedding date, I will get you to fill in the ‘wedding photography planner form’ below. This can be done as soon as you have confirmed all the details.

Step 3:
We make a time to meet in person to discuss all the finer details of your day. If the location is not too far away and time permits. A great idea is to meet at the location and time of your ceremony. If these options are not suitable we can talk over the phone.

Step 4:
You have the most amazing day of your life and I capture every moment of it.

How to pay your deposit:

  • Cash is always good.
